Dassel-Cokato's Amy Dimmler wins 2026 New Professional Award
Amy Dimmler, director of community services at Dassel-Cokato Schools, received MinnSPRA’s 2026 New Professional Award at the spring conference on Thursday, April 30.
“This year’s award winners represent the best of our profession,” said Ashley Sukhu, executive director of communications at St. Louis Park Public Schools and MinnSPRA’s president-elect. “I’m honored to know and work with these strategic leaders — all of whom are fierce advocates for the students, families and communities they serve.”
The New Professional Award honors Minnesota school communicators who show exceptional promise and dedication, and who have fewer than three years of experience in the field. Although new to school public relations, Dimmler brings more than a decade of experience in community education and educational leadership. She most recently spent 12 years with Watertown-Mayer Community Education, including four years as director. Her background includes work with the Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children and the Minnesota School-Age Care Alliance, managing childcare enrichment programs at Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose School District, and teaching first grade at Wayzata Public Schools.
