May 2024 Member Recognitions

Thanks to Dave Christians and the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA), who created a Juneteenth toolkit for MASA and MinnSPRA members. There are different email templates (staff, parents, community) in the toolkit — feel free to use the messaging as you see fit for your district.

Deep thanks and a bittersweet goodbye to Rachel Hicks, APR, and Josh Collins who will be leaving school PR for new adventures after this school year. Both Rachel and Josh served on the MinnSRPA Board and were generous in sharing their knowledge, time, and resources with school communicators across the state. We are so grateful for their contributions and wish them much joy and success in their future endeavors!

Congratulations to John Casper with Winona Area Public Schools on his very first and extremely successful MinnSPRA/school PR presentation: “Inspiring positive gossip is easier than you think.” John’s humorous and uplifting presentation at the Spring Conference offered many tangible takeaways on how to spread the good news of your district…and hopefully inspires others to take the leap and share their learnings with other MinnSPRA members!
