MinnSPRA's awards program proudly recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of members and education leaders.
School Communicator of the Year Award
The MinnSPRA School Communicator of the Year Award is presented to a school PR leader who demonstrates commitment to strengthening relationships between their district and the community, and who values communications as a crucial role for stakeholders.
New Professional Award
MinnSPRA's New Professional Award recognizes promising communicators who have worked in the field of school public relations for three years or less.
Champion for Communications Award
The Champion for Communications Award recognizes an education leader for outstanding support of school public relations and highlights the important role they play in implementing and supporting an effective communications program.
President's Award
Each spring, the MinnSPRA President's Award is presented to an individual who has provided special service or support to the President, the Board, or the organization as a whole.
Dawn K. McDowell Award
The Dawn K. McDowell Award is given to a MinnSPRA member who, among other contributions, has advanced the practice of school public relations and serves as a trusted adviser to colleagues. Recipients are determined by a selection committee which includes past winners.
